Busy Tag App: A Guide to Every Feature
The Busy Tag app controls what your device shows and how it behaves. Download it for Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS, connect your Busy Tag, and use this guide to find your way around each tab: Designs, LEDs, Focus Session, and Integrations.

Use Existing Designs
The Online Gallery sits as its own tab, separate from Designs, and gives you a shortcut past building anything yourself.
Open it and you'll see a starting selection of images and GIFs added by the Busy Tag team. Use the search bar to pull more results directly from Klipy. Every result comes pre-adjusted to fit the Busy Tag display, so you can select one and use it right away.
Saving isn't required. If you want a design you'll come back to often, add it to your own Designs tab. On desktop, right-click the design and select "Save as new design," or "Download" if you'd rather keep a copy on your computer. On mobile, press and hold the design instead, and the same options appear.
Create Your Own Design
Open the Designs tab and select "Create new design" to start building a status screen.
Import a file. Upload a PNG or GIF from your computer or mobile device. The file needs to be under 1MB. The app doesn't resize or compress it for you, so if your file is too large, optimize it yourself before uploading.
Or search the built-in library. Instead of importing your own file, search Klipy's library of GIFs, images, clips, and stickers from inside the editor. Pick the one you want, then choose whether it fills the display or keeps its original size.
Or start with a color. Skip images entirely and set a plain background instead. Use the color picker or type in a HEX code.
Add text. Type your message directly onto the design. Choose a font (Windows and Mac offer different font sets), set the size, and position the text where you want it.
Set the LEDs and save. Pick the LED color for this design, then name it and save. It appears in your Designs tab from then on, ready to load anytime.
LEDs
Each design carries its own LED color, set when you save it. Load a design saved with a red LED color, and the LEDs turn red.
Open the LEDs tab to change the color for now without editing the design itself. Pick from 8 preset colors or set a custom one, and adjust brightness with the slider. Switch to a different design or reload this one later, and the LEDs return to the color saved with it.
Choose from 24 patterns, including flashes, running lights, and pulses in each color. Running patterns can be layered on top of a solid color. Other pattern types replace the solid color rather than combining with it.
Focus Session
Focus Session is a Pomodoro-style timer built into the app.
Go to the Focus Session tab and set three durations: work period, short break, and long break. Assign a background design to each phase, pulled from your Designs tab. If you want to use something from the online gallery, save it to your Designs tab first so it shows up here. The LEDs follow the color of whichever design is active. Set how many work cycles run before a long break triggers, and assign a pattern to notify you when a new phase starts. The pattern plays briefly, then the LEDs settle back into the color saved with that phase's design.
Integrations
The Integrations tab turns Busy Tag into a small live dashboard.
Open "Add Integrations," find the one you want, and click "Add." Customize it to your needs and save it. Click the play button next to any saved integration to display it on your device.
Two types of integrations are available. Classic integrations connect Busy Tag to tools you already use, including Microsoft Teams, Gmail, and Google Calendar, and mirror their status or data automatically. Custom integrations add standalone widgets like countdown timers, stock and crypto price trackers, and clocks, which don't depend on any outside account.
For deeper automation, Busy Tag also offers Webhook support, letting developers build custom integrations through the Luxafor Web API.
